If you’re feeling feisty, fair mariner, then this is the soap for you. Our activated charcoal bar, black as your soul, will clean and tame even the beastliest skin. Get knocked out by the black licorice scent of anise, mellowed with a hint of amyris. Like our pal Blackbeard, we’re pretty sure this soap is a one-of-a-kind.

Not unlike Rollergirls, pirates of yore often took monikers that make them sound, well, a little more badass. Case in point: Edward Teach, alias “Blackbeard,” notorious sea dog and ne’er do well. So iconic is his image as The. Pirate. of the 1700’s that 300 years later, when you think about pirates, the picture in your head is probably of Blackbeard. Anecdotal evidence suggests that many of Blackbeard’s contemporaries actually believed he was the Devil himself.

Given Blackbeard’s legendary status as one of the scariest pirates ever to raise the Jolly Roger, they probably weren’t far off the mark. Among numerous other atrocities, he’s rumored to have shot his own First Mate, explaining to his horrified crew that, “if he didn’t shoot one or two crewmen now and then, they’d forget who he was.” Fun fact: According to several witnesses, after the fatal loss of his ship Adventure to Lieutenant Robert Maynard, Blackbeard’s severed head eventually wound up hanging from Maynard’s bowsprit while his headless body swam around the sinking Adventure between 2 and 7 times! Awesome or gross? You be the judge!
